I am a singer. I’ve been singing since the age of 3. My 2 sisters, Linda and Susan, and I sang for the Grange in Maine and for churches in California all through our childhood. I still sing for weddings and churches as well as choral groups. It is my passion and my greatest gift.
Currently, and for the past decade or so, I sing the The South Coast Singers. Check us out. We are a great and strong choir of 50+ members. We love to sing, but more importantly, we are a family. If you are in the Orange County area around June or December, you will definitely want to come and hear us in person.
I hope you enjoy my music.
This first piece is a duet called “Pie Jesu”, and is part of the Requiem Mass by John Rutter. My duet partner is Barbara Bond a Mezzo Soprano. I begin the piece and am the higher of the two voices.
This next piece is also a lovely duet with Barbara Bond. It’s called “Ladaumus Te”, and is part of Vivaldi’s “Gloria”. I begin the piece and am the higher of the two voices.
I LOVE Josh Groban’s voice. If I could sing with any male on the planet, it would be Josh. Here I am singing, “Thankful” by Josh Groban.
This piece is my trio, during practice, singing “Someone Like You” by Adele. Joining me are Karen Ipema and Ruth Strickland. It was the first thing we’d ever done together and I must say that it was even better at performance time with the full band. Unfortunately, I don’t have a recording of that, so this rough one will have to do for now.
I discovered this piece and performed it last Christmas. It’s a really beautifully written song about the feelings that we have around that time of year and how the things that we love become “The Song of Christmas”.
